We’re ready for Shooting Stars – Sunshine Stars

Sunshine Stars defender Mutiu Adegoke says he
expects a tough match between his side and
Shooting Stars in their Glo Premier League
fixture in Akure on Sunday, the News Agency of
Nigeria reports
But the left-back insists the Akure outfit are ready
to win the South-West derby.
Adegoke said, “No doubt, it is going to be a
cracker, and everyone is talking about it already.
But I am confident the match will be an easy one
for my team. I know it is going to be tough, but we
are prepared for the battle.
“I have played in the domestic league for years,
and I had a stint outside Nigeria as well. I know
how the spirit is like when you want to win
something big.
“We are very eager to win big this time. And I
mean it; the players, the coaches are more than
willing to see that happen.”
Meanwhile, Heartland captain Chinedu Efugh says
the Owerri team are ready for Sunday’s fixture
against Enugu Rangers in Enugu.
Rangers suffered a defeat at the hands of Wikki
Tourists while Heartland were pounded 3-0 by
Sunshine Stars at home in their fixtures on
Sunday.
“Pressure is quite high right now not only on the
coach but on everybody to get the team back on
the path of victory once again,” Supersport
quoted Efugh as saying on Friday.
“After the 3-0 home loss to Sunshine, we’re
finding difficult to work freely in and around
Owerri without the jeering and mockery of the
fans.
“The disgrace is too heavy on us that if need be
we’re ready to spill blood to get either the three
points or a point at Rangers.
“Of course, we all know the implications of
another bad result in Enugu and nobody is willing
to receive further taunting from the supporters.
“Everybody is committed towards making the
Sunday clash at Rangers a happy ending one that
will further boost our confidence in subsequent
matches.”
