Mikel, Onazi join Eagles camp

Super-Eagles-5

After a sparkling performance over the

weekend in the EPL with Chelsea, John Obi

Mikel has arrived at the Super Eagles camp in

Calabar ahead of this month’s Africa Cup of

Nations qualifying matches against the Red

Devils of Congo and Bafana Bafana of South

Africa.

Not only Mikel is the new arrival in the Calabar

camp of the reigning Africa Champions as Ben

Alaiya the Eagles media officer confirmed that

Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi, Efe Ambrose,

Kenneth Omeruo, Juwon Oshaniwa, Sone

Aluko and stand-in captain Austin Ejide all

arrived on time to have lunch with the rest of

the team.

As reported by Alaiya, Mikel’s entrance was

particularly hilarious as he came in with hand

gloves and asked Coach Keshi if he will need

some with the fear of the Ebola disease in

mind.

“Coach I have up

to four hand

gloves and if you don’t mind, I can hand one

pair to you”, he said jokingly with the rest of

the team reeling with laughter.

Only nine players took part in the morning

session but a near complete roster is expected

for the evening session scheduled for U.J

Esuene Stadium.
